To the Members of the Toronto Police Amateur Athletic Association Hockey Leagues
The Toronto Police Amateur Athletic Association Executive, recently took a hard look at what needs to be done to protect the health of our Members and the effect a positive COVID-19 infection would have on our Members, the Police Service and the communities you serve. One infection from one teamhasthe potential to disrupt multiple platoons and multiple divisions. The Executive has a duty to make decisions that keep our Members safe, and safety has been paramount in this decision.
It is also, important to note that the league support is NOT cancelled, it is postponed. We sincerely, hope that we will be able to start league funding in January but if quarantine rules allow, we will start the league play earlier, again with the safety of our Members being the primary driver in the decision process.
Also, site reps please post the message on the TPAAA site Board in your station.
